What is your role at Maison Moderne?
I'm in charge of media sales at Maison Moderne. I'm responsible for defining, controlling and approving sales in relation to the targets set and approved by the Management Committee.
I'm in charge of the company's commercial strategy and its implementation once approved by the Management Committee. In this capacity, I'm responsible for creating new products, new offerings and communication solutions for the market.
I'm also responsible for the recruiting, motivation and supervision of the Maison Moderne sales force and admin staff.
What do you like most about your job?
Being head of sales covers a whole range of functions and tasks, and it's very difficult to define them precisely. But I'll give it a try.
Building new products and new offerings is something I get a great thrill out of. Human relations are at the core of our business and managing these relations remains a raison d'être of my work. The wealth of exchanges with our Management Committee and Board, the great customer stories and the good moments I enjoy with my sales colleagues with whom I spend most of my time. And of course it's great to exceed the financial targets – these are very important moments of victory.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
As a kid, I dreamed of being a teacher, perhaps just so that I could be up on the podium.
The passion that drives you?
Travelling and getting to know new cultures.
What would you tell your friends to make them visit Luxembourg?
That although Luxembourg has all the qualities of a large village where it is still possible to build up strong, sincere and lasting relationships, it is also a modern capital gaining an ever greater place on the European and world stage.
Your favourite restaurant out of the 250 listed in Explorator?
Um Plateau for its terrace, the welcome you get there and for the tenderness of its mignon de veau.
