Julie Lhardit
Programming coordinator - Paperjam Club

What is your role at Maison Moderne?

I’m Paperjam Club’s Programming coordinator. I’m in charge of coordinating the Club’s events and communication. To make it happen, I take part in deciding which activities will be organised, that is to say, at least 150 events and training sessions each season. I also organize the Club’s digital communication and the production of its printed contents.

What do you like most about your job?

Above all, the balance between the intellectual and operational dimension. Also, the variety of content proposed for the Club’s events and training programmes, which are intended to cover a plethora of subjects and participants – something that is very stimulating.

What was your dream job when you were a child?

Working was never really part of my dreams as a child.

    The passion that drives you?

I am in love with the Arab world and its cultural and political complexity. After living in Lebanon in connection with my studies, I took a course in international relations to nourish this inclination. I am trying to become proficient in the language now, which is no small matter. Ahlan w sahlan ! Kell chi mni7 ? Fiyyé se3dak be chi?

What would you tell to your friends to make them visit Luxembourg?

    This is not Luxembourg!

Your favourite restaurant out of the 250 listed in Explorator?

The Brasserie Orient-Express. Once you have tasted some delicious mezzes and Fatthe humus in a friendly setting, the chef will be tempted to invite you for a mad oriental dance.
