With a view to improving staff well-being, Maison Moderne launched its “Well-being at work” programme in late 2015. It involves workshops with experts, physical training and preferential rates at a number of local sports facilities.
Introduced by ex-professional tennis player Dominique Monami on the occasion of a conference entitled “Human energy: high performance through the right energy balance”, the programme offers a whole range of activities to Maison Moderne staff: workshops on topics such as stress management, relaxation, mindful eating, back-pain and sleep held in collaboration with Zitha Klinik experts, preferential rates for the Luxfit gym in Leudelange and for the Bonnevoie swimming and fitness centre, or a regular after-work run on Tuesdays and Thursdays in preparation for the Luxembourg marathon and half-marathon. In addition to this, baskets of organic fruit are available to staff on Mondays and Wednesday, provided in partnership with Co-labor, a Luxembourg work integration social enterprise (WISE).
“Our intention in developing this 'Well-being at work' programme is to contribute to the individual and collective well-being of all Maison Moderne staff. We have responded to their wish for some form of physical activity, and are even going one step further through offering access to well-being workshops held throughout the year. We have already noticed a positive impact as a result of their participation in the programme, above all in terms of group dynamics and motivation.”
