With a view to accelerating its development, the digital agency Nvision is opening up its equity capital to Maison Moderne.
“This is a strategic move, not to be seen as a mere shareholding but above all as the collaboration of two perfectly matched companies.”
Mike Sergonne, co-founder and managing partner of Nvision
The one was feted at the latest Media Awards in front of an audience of 850 professionals, with its Rosport campaign winning five awards: three Gold medals and two audience awards. This marked the successful transformation of Nvision from a web design agency into a player creating digital experiences at the crossroads between design, technology and emotions. Founded in 1999 by the two Luxembourg entrepreneurs Raoul Mulheims and Mike Sergonne (who will remain shareholders), Nvision now employs a 27-strong team and has sales of EUR 2 million a year.
The other is in the middle of rolling out its growth and diversification strategy. An independent media company, Maison Moderne is primarily known for its publishing work (press, books) and its advertising, but also runs an agency specialised in content marketing and a business club. Founded in 1994 by Mike Koedinger, Maison Moderne now has 95 employees and an annual turnover of EUR 10 million.
The initial discussions on this significant minority holding go back to the beginning of 2015.
“This investment and collaboration will enable Nvision to accelerate its development. Maison Moderne will be transferring all its digital projects and its digital team to Nvision.”
Mike Koedinger, Maison Moderne CEO
“This move will also allow us to pool our service offering targeting specific brands and companies”, stated Mike Sergonne. “Nvision and Maison Moderne will now be in a position to offer a range of services from strategy definition to digital and print production, with specialist products for experience creation, design and content marketing”. A total of more than 50 specialist employees will be available to businesses.
In the context of this holding, Mike Koedinger and Etienne Velasti, Maison Moderne's CFO, are joining the Nvision board of directors. A new chapter in a great business success story.
