Céline Coubray
Editor-in-chief - Archiduc / Journalist Culture & Lifestyle

What is your role at Maison Moderne?

I am editor-in-chief for Archiduc as well as being a lifestyle and culture journalist. My work is all about architecture, urban planning, design, the arts, fashion, beauty, gastronomy, shopping, leisure. Apart from Archiduc, you'll therefore find articles written by me in Paperjam, Flydoscope, City Mag, Explorator, Family Guide and several other Maison Moderne publications.

What do you like most about your job?

The diversity of the subjects I report on and above all meeting up with fascinating people. But I also have to admit that I just love going to exhibitions, visiting new buildings, trying out the country's best restaurants or conversing with people from the creative world.

What was your dream job when you were a child?

As a child, I wanted to become an archaeologist. In fact, one summer I was able to do just that. A preventive dig.

    The passion that drives you?

Enjoying the world in all its beauty.

What would you tell your friends to make them visit Luxembourg?

That behind the walls of the well-known banks, there's a small, well-hidden treasure.

Your favourite restaurant out of the 250 listed in Explorator?

Hmmm... that's a difficult question because I co-authored the guide. But one of my top favourites is the Wäissen Haff in Sandweiler. Why? Because of all the love and respect Paul Kremer puts into his cooking. The courage it took as a self-taught cook and all the work he put into restoring the old farm which houses his restaurant.
