Jérôme Geneste
Marketing Director

What is your role at Maison Moderne?

I have quite a lot of roles actually!

One of the main ones is to support the growth of Advertising Sales by taking part in designing new products, offerings and tools in collaboration with the existing teams, while at the same time putting forward ideas for innovative sales tools for our sales teams and customers.

A further role is to identify growth drivers, supporting senior management in developing synergies between Maison Moderne’s entities to create added value for each of them.

Then I develop Maison Moderne’s corporate communication via attractive B2B communications and actions for our customers and partners.

I also actively participate in developing the Maison Moderne’s ecosystem.

To sum up, my role is to inspire the teams and create favourable conditions for developing the Maison Moderne 3.0 era.

What do you like most about your job?

Marketing and communication are fascinating and important disciplines, involving all aspects of our work: content, products, skills, human resources, technology, etc.

Marketing is increasingly becoming a core discipline in every company. Besides identifying opportunities and translating them into products or offerings, marketing is gaining the role of a platform for exchanging information and contacts between a company and its customers.

This permanent “conversation” is something that stimulates me every day!

    Your dream job?

An orchestra conductor: getting an array of different talents to play together. Isn’t that just the perfect job?

    The passion that drives you?

There are several! Running for the competitive aspect, golf for the introspective one, travelling to get away, and opera for the emotional side.

What would you tell your friends to make them visit Luxembourg?

I would start by telling them that it is a fantastic mixture of people, nationalities and culture, all with the common goal of maintaining this unique setting and quality of life. I would then tell them that there are so many different things to do and discover here, whether they’re interested in culture, nature or gastronomy!

Your favourite restaurant out of the 1.300 listed on explorator.lu

As I’m a great fan of Japan (and because it was the first restaurant in Luxembourg I visited with my wife...), I would go for Kamakura.
